Civic Trust Awards 2025
🏆 We are thrilled to announce that three of our projects have been honoured with CIVIC TRUST AWARDS 2025, and one has secured a place as a Regional Finalist! 🎉
🎉 🎭 National Youth Theatre of Great Britain – National Youth Theatre
Highly Commended in the Civic Trust Awards, presented in memory of Becky Goldsmith. The redevelopment of the former Mission Hall into the new home for the National Youth Theatre (NYT) integrates thoughtful design, accessibility, and inclusivity. The reimagined NYT building enhances its visibility, with a fully accessible entrance and a welcoming reception space that includes a dropped-height desk and clear signage. A perfect example of how heritage spaces can evolve to meet modern, diverse needs while maintaining their cultural significance.
🏅 🏗️ Brewers’ Hall – Worshipful company of Brewers
This project received Highly Commended status for making a significant contribution to the quality and appearance of the built environment. Brewers’ Hall, located in Aldermanbury Square, London, underwent a meticulous refurbishment and extension, blending architectural heritage with modern functionality. The transformation supports the operational needs of The Worshipful Company of Brewers while enhancing the building’s historical and civic significance.
📚 🏗️ Sidcup Storyteller London Borough of Bexley
We are incredibly proud of the Sidcup Storyteller project which has become a catalyst for community regeneration, offering a thoughtful mix of public, commercial, and residential spaces. As a cornerstone of Sidcup’s regeneration, it is more than just a building—it embodies the transformative power of architecture, improving not only the streetscape but the lives of the people it serves.
📢 ⚒️ Shipman Youth Zone – London Borough of Newham
Shipman Youth Zone secured a place as Regional Finalist in the Civic Trust Awards 2025. A car free, zero-carbon, state-of-the-art facility featuring meeting rooms for workshops/committee meetings, kitchen spaces and communal areas for socialising, a multi-purpose sports hall with roof height to accommodate basketball games/indoor football, a gym, music studio, computer suite and an arts and crafts space.
📢 Thank you to all involved in making these projects a reality. We are so proud of the impact they’re having and are grateful to the Civic Trust for this recognition!
