Upgrading of the decorative standard in the form of sympathetic restoration to prime aspects of the building. The works included re-establishing the high level lantern light and natural passive ventilation when weather conditions allowed. Comfort cooling was included and walls were acoustically treated. Meeting and teaching rooms were refurbished and upgraded in terms of technological and access requirements. Staff rooms and “green room” facilities were also upgraded and a new vibrant cafe was created with a flexible space for receptions, events and exhibitions.
