The project involved the restoration and complete refurbishment of the historic 1880s building ‘The Chateau’, including structural repairs, asbestos removal, and protection of war memorial elements. Alongside this, we delivered a new single-storey building, housing changing rooms, a café, circulation space, fitness centre, and sports hall.

🌱 External restoration, buried services, groundworks, and full landscaping have helped breathe new life into this locally significant site, now ready to welcome 1,700 pupils, including 480 sixth formers and 20 SEND places.

💡 As part of our bespoke social value programme, we facilitated two pre-apprenticeships for Charter School students, one of whom has now secured a permanent role with our electrical subcontractor.

👏 The project also received an Excellent Considerate Constructors Score of 45/45.
