This project involved the refurbishment and fit-out of a vacant unit in the Elmsleigh Shopping Centre, creating a vibrant new space for the community. The new Hub brings together the library, museum, café, community room, and a range of public services, all under one roof and accessible to everyone in Staines.

Key features include:

• Modern, flexible spaces across two levels
• The innovative Lyngsoe ‘Super Access’ system, enabling extended library hours for cardholders
• Upgraded, energy-efficient M&E services and sustainable materials, supporting Surrey’s Greener Future net zero carbon strategy
• New public terrace, soft play area, and secure bike storage
• Extensive stakeholder engagement to ensure the Hub meets the needs of all users
