“We had the pleasure of having Rowena Shivam, as our Sustainability Intern from UCL, over an 8-week period throughout summer. From day one, she threw herself into every task that was given to her with curiosity and enthusiasm, whether it was researching innovative solutions for the industry, attending site visits, or leading on initiatives during Plastic Free July. Being an UCL intern, it was great to involve her with our Bicentennial 200 project – assisting with capturing information to feed into case studies and embodied carbon calculations.

One of the biggest achievements during Rowena’s internship was her development of our own internal waste forecasting tool – a resource that will be invaluable for future projects, bid submissions and BREEAM Assessments.
Rowena quickly became a valued part of the team, and it was so inspiring to see her positive energy when tackling new challenges, even when it was climbing a ladder for her first time on site!
