📢 We’re proud to have been part of Kingston University’s ‘Sustainability for Professional Practice’ assessment panels, where first-year students from the School of Built Environment and Geography showcased their innovative solutions to real-world sustainability challenges.
Held at the Penrhyn Road campus where we are applying many of the sustainability upgrades discussed on our upgrade of the Main Building, this event provided a platform for students to present their research and solutions for improving sustainability focusing on key areas such as:
✅ Energy & Utilities
✅ Water Use
✅ Travel & Transport
✅ Waste
✅ Food
✅ Biodiversity
Sustainability & Submissions Director Ashleigh Goss & Contracts Manager Julian Clark had the opportunity to listen, provide feedback, and engage with the students’ ideas, supporting them as they develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for the future of our industry.
💡 Why does this matter?
Encouraging young professionals to think about sustainability from day one is vital for shaping a more responsible built environment. The creativity and enthusiasm on display were inspiring, and we’re excited to see how these students evolve into the next generation of changemakers.
👏 A huge thank you to Kingston University for organising this event and to all the students for their hard work and dedication!
