Refurbishment works were required to form new specialist teaching areas required by a broad and varied curriculum. This included the conversion of teaching spaces to a sports science facility, refurbishment of Learning Resource Centre  (LRC) area to create refreshed LRC and segregated student services and student social area, refurbished and enlarged science laboratory to provide modern new facilities and equipment, conversion of general purpose teaching rooms to provide a training kitchen facility for catering students and refurbishment of various general teaching spaces to provide improved teaching facilities.
