News & Views Employee Volunteering for Frimley Health Charity Back to news & views We had the opportunity to visit Frimley Park Hospital to assist with planting & painting activities to support Frimley Health Charity with improvements to the hospitals G3 Stroke Unit. Over the last 10 years we have delivered a multitude of projects at Frimley Park Hospital, most recently the construction of the new G3 Stroke Unit, which provides much needed space for assessments and therapies. The unit features an enclosed courtyard, providing patients with access to a calming and tranquil space for social and additional rehabilitation purposes. The G3 Unit was funded through charitable donations and now with the help of our Neilcott employee volunteers, we have created an attractive and inviting space for patients, visitors and staff. We helped create an inspiring, yet calming outdoor environment by planting shrubs, flowers and olive trees within the courtyard. At Neilcott, we are always seeking for ways to give back to the community and continue to identify opportunities for us to help out with important volunteering initiatives such as this one.   Next

Project Completion: The Crick Institute

News & Views Project Completion: The Crick Institute Back to news & views We are thrilled to have reached practical completion at the Crick, where we have delivered an ambitious ‘Skylab’, a highly-technical and complex build to provide an additional two floors of laboratory and office space – on the 8th floor rooftop of the Francis Crick Institute, in-between the iconic canopies. This has been a truly inspirational project to be involved with, requiring diligent technical and logistical planning from the outset and extremely close collaboration throughout. It’s great to see the Skylab built, operating and providing space for science.Remaining operational 24/7, 365 days a year, with 1500 staff, including 1250 scientists running critical, highly-sensitive experiments 24/7, the project required in-depth collaborative planning and ongoing communication to ensure that operations remained ‘business as usual’. In-line with the Crick’s ethos, sustainability has also been a key priority and the project has been designed and built to achieve a ‘Gold’ SKA rating. Next
