This included the conversion of teaching spaces to a sports science facility, refurbishment of Learning Resource Centre (LRC) area to create refreshed LRC and segregated student services and student social area, refurbished and enlarged science laboratory to provide modern new facilities and equipment, conversion of general purpose teaching rooms to provide a training kitchen facility for catering students and refurbishment of various general teaching spaces to provide improved teaching facilities. New buildings provided, replace older industrial buildings and have generated greater employment space. The site provides overnight parking for up to 28 HeavyCommercial Vehicles (HCVs) consisting of 16 spaces for RCVs and 12 for road sweepers and 7.5 tonne trucks. The site also provides 46 (2 disabled) staff car parking spaces and cycle storage at the south of the site. There are a further 4 sweeper spaces to the north of the office area and 1 in the northernmost corner of the site. Works also provided a vehicle wash down area and fuel area.
