News & Views Neilcott’s Young Persons Programme Back to news & views 👷‍♂️ Investing in Futures Providing lifelong learning opportunities is key to maintaining both employee satisfaction & our competitive edge through highly skilled staff. As such, we offer opportunities to all staff to progress through training & internal development. We have recently launched the Neilcott Young Persons Programme, a dedicated initiative designed to do exactly that. Spanning across 12 engaging modules, the programme offers valuable insights into core construction practices, alongside our internal processes and policies. Each module is packed with expert knowledge, hands-on tasks, and encourages social interaction to build confidence & collaboration.

News & Views Project Completion: Kingston University, Penrhyn Road Back to news & views 📢 We’re proud to announce the successful completion of our works at Kingston University’s Penrhyn Road campus. 🏫 We undertook major refurbishment works at the campus, delivered across two phases to ensure minimal disruption to university operations. Works have included transforming the vacant library into the new home of the Union of Kingston Students, refurbishing the former student union space into a new Careers Centre and creating a new catering area, relax zone and collaboration area. ➡️ ✏️ The improvements made will support Kingston University’s ambition to provide first-class learning spaces for students and staff alike. News & Views Official Opening: Emily Lodge Short Breaks Back to news & views ➡️ We were delighted to celebrate the official opening of Emily Lodge Short Breaks earlier this month, which our Winchester Regional Director John Papworth attended. 🏡 A welcoming and purpose-built space designed to provide essential respite care for families caring for adults with additional needs. Featuring a sensory room, lounge and 8 ensuite bedrooms. ✅ This inspiring new facility offers a safe, inclusive environment where families can access high-quality short break services, supporting both well-being and independence. 🪴 We were also thrilled to see the planters that we donated, looking beautiful and full!

News & Views Topping Out Ceremony at Pelham Street Back to news & views 📢 A milestone moment at 40 Pelham Street! 🏢 ➡️ We recently welcomed the Wellcome Trust team for a small topping out ceremony at the East Building. To mark the occasion, they fixed the final zinc bracket! A symbolic step in the transformation of this disused site in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. ✅ We’re proud to be delivering a high-quality, two-story office that brings new life to this historic location.

Back to news & views 🏆 We’re thrilled to announce that our Fareham Live project has won an award at the South Coast Property Awards 2025, as Regeneration Project of the Year! 📢 🎭 Fareham Live is more than just a building, it’s a cultural hub and a transformative project for the local community, and we’re proud to have played a part in bringing it to life. ➡️ Built on the site of the old Ferneham Hall, Fareham Live is a new state-of-the-art entertainment venue, boasting an 800-seat concert hall and 120-seat secondary space. Complimented with a daytime café & bistro, the space will host pantomimes, top-tier musicals, spectacular live music & household-name comedians, whilst also offering a studio space to showcase upcoming talent or community-driven live performances.

News & Views BREEAM Outstanding: Shipman Youth Zone Back to news & views 🚨 We’re thrilled to share that our Shipman Youth Zone project has officially achieved BREEAM Outstanding with a fantastic score of 89.7% At Neilcott, we take our sustainability journey seriously. Today, we’re highlighting our latest efforts to reduce environmental impact and build responsibly. 🚀 BREEAM Outstanding Achievement: Our cross laminated timber Shipman Youth Zone project for London Borough of Newham, is a model for sustainable design: A car-free, zero-carbon, high-quality space designed for and with young people. Featuring meeting rooms, sports hall, gym, music studio, and arts spaces. This is just one of many BREEAM projects that we have on site. 🏡 Passivhaus: Our Farm Lane certified classic residential scheme for Hammersmith & Fulham Council uses holistic fabric first design principles to achieve strict energy & thermal performance standards, which will result in low running costs for residents. 🔋 Transition to HVO Fuel: We’ve made the switch from diesel to HVO fuel on our sites, resulting in a potential 78% reduction in Scope 1 carbon emissions. A major step forward for sustainable site operations. 🚗 EV Salary Sacrifice & Cycle to Work Schemes: Supporting our staff in making greener transport choices. ♻️ Circular Economy Innovation: Proud to partner with Excess Materials Exchange to drive more responsible resource use. 🏡 Nature-Positive Future: As part of the Future Homes Hub, Homes for Nature initiative, we are committed to safeguarding biodiversity within our developments.

News & Views Project Completion: Gayhurst School Back to news & views We are proud to announce the successful completion of Gayhurst School, delivered from our regional office in Hemel Hempstead. This project saw the demolition of three existing school buildings and the construction of a brand-new sports hall, auditorium, staff area, and dance block, along with full fit-out works. A huge thank you to Project Manager chris creighton and the site team for their hard work, earning an Excellent CCS Score of 45/45! Beyond construction, we’ve been committed to protecting the local environment, ensuring that trees, flora, and fauna were safeguarded throughout the works. We’re delighted to have provided a vegetable and wildflower garden to enrich the school’s outdoor space. Huge thank you to all involved! News & Views Dragon Boat Race Results 2025 Back to news & views 🏆 Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge 2025 – What a Day! 🐉💦 We’re thrilled to share that this year’s event raised an incredible £21,000 for CRASH, the construction industry’s charity that supports homelessness and hospice initiatives through practical building help. 💙 Neilcott was proud to enter two teams: Finding Neilcott and Finding Neilcott 2, who paddled hard and did us proud, finishing 2nd and 3rd in the Mixed Crew Championship! Even more exciting, we were honoured as Charity Champions, taking home the Charity Trophy and CRASH Top Fundraiser Prize after raising an amazing £9,887 in sponsorship. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us, including our brilliant supply chain! 🏅 Congratulations to the 2025 Champions, Oar-izon (Horizon Construction London), for taking the top spot!
