News & Views Dragon Boat Race Results 2025 Back to news & views 🏆 Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge 2025 – What a Day! 🐉💦 We’re thrilled to share that this year’s event raised an incredible £21,000 for CRASH, the construction industry’s charity that supports homelessness and hospice initiatives through practical building help. 💙 Neilcott was proud to enter two teams: Finding Neilcott and Finding Neilcott 2, who paddled hard and did us proud, finishing 2nd and 3rd in the Mixed Crew Championship! Even more exciting, we were honoured as Charity Champions, taking home the Charity Trophy and CRASH Top Fundraiser Prize after raising an amazing £9,887 in sponsorship. News & Views Corporate Volunteering Day: Woking Foodbank Back to news & views 📢 The latest instalment of our Corporate Volunteering Day took us to Woking Foodbank, where members of the Neilcott team spent the day supporting operations at their warehouse, unpacking and sorting donations and helping ensure vital supplies reach those who need them most. ✅ Days like this are a powerful reminder of the impact we can have beyond the construction site. Project Completion: Charter School

News & Views Project Completion: Charter School East Dulwich Back to news & views We have successfully completed our Charter School East Dulwich project – a major transformation of the former East Dulwich Hospital site into a state-of-the-art learning environment that preserves local heritage while building for the future. ✅ Our works combined the restoration of ‘The Chateau’, a historic 1880s structure, with the construction of a brand-new, single-storey building housing changing rooms, a café, fitness centre, circulation space, and a sports hall. The project also included protection of key heritage and war memorial features, breathing new life into this important local landmark. The new campus will serve 1,700 students, including 480 sixth formers and 20 SEND places, ensuring inclusive education in a modern and inspiring setting. As part of our commitment to social value, we:➡️ Welcomed x2 Charter School students for 10-week pre-apprenticeships – and we’re proud to share that one secured a permanent role with our electrical subcontractor➡️ Created x7 new jobs, including an Assistant Manager, Logistics Manager, Traffic Marshall, Labourers & Cleaners➡️ Offered short courses to Neilcott operatives to upskill staff, including First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, SMSTS, CITB, Temporary Works and H&S➡️ Employed x1 Electrical Apprentice➡️ Attended a careers fair at The Charter School East Dulwich, discussing career options in the construction industry with 1200 students from Y8-Y11. ➡️ Attendance at the Harris Girls International Women’s Day session, promoting girls in construction & providing an overview of the various opportunities & entry pathways available.➡️ Facilitated x2 site tours for y10 students from Charter School & a site tour for x3 London Design and Engineering UTC students➡️ Attendance at the Education Business Alliance Careers Fair, providing young students (200+ from Y8-Y11) from 5 different local schools➡️ Donation of bricks, ply & old pallets to the Facilities Manager at the school, for students to construct insect enclosures/houses 👏 A huge congratulations to Project Manager Lewis Parry and the site team for delivering a perfect Considerate Constructors Scheme Score of 45/45. News & Views PPF’s NPEA Awards 2025 Back to news & views We are delighted to have been nominated in three categories for the Procure Partnerships Framework‘s National Project Excellence Awards 2025! 🎉 Our shortlisted projects include:🏆 Project of the Year – South✅ King George Hospital Theatres, Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust➡️ Works involved constructing a three-storey theatre block, adding two ultra-clean operating theatres, doubling recovery bed capacity, and enhancing staff facilities. The new hub enables the Trust to perform 100 additional operations weekly, significantly reducing waiting times and accommodating advanced surgical technologies . 🌍 Social Value Impact Award✅ King George Hospital Theatres, Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust➡️ Beyond construction, this project delivered substantial social value, including:▪️x3 apprenticeships facilitated for NVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating Technician Students▪️x33 weeks paid work experience placements for a Labourer role, targeting undergraduates▪️x2 weeks paid work experience placement targeting those studying construction related courses at college▪️£2k donation to Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust Charity Fund (King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity), which was allocated to the Children’s Ball to support the hospital with providing engaging & interactive facilities for their young patients.▪️100% use of local subcontractors ▪️ Achieved 89.6% spend with local SME’s 🏗️ Construction Project of the Year✅ Churchill Court Fit Out, London Borough of Bromley➡️ This £9m phased refurbishment transformed Churchill Court into the new civic headquarters for Bromley Council. The project included a CAT B fit-out, reconfigured main reception, new democratic hub with committee rooms and council chamber, mayoral suite, and upgraded mechanical and electrical systems.

News & Views Bronze CCS Award Win for Gayhurst School Back to news & views 📢 We’re proud to announce that our Gayhurst School project has been recognised with a Bronze National Site Award from the Considerate Constructors Scheme! 🎉 A huge congratulations to Project Manager chris creighton, who received the award on behalf of Neilcott at the CCS ceremony held at The Brewery, London, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and commitment to considerate construction practices. ✅ This marked a busy week with the team, who are completing the project to deliver a new sports hall and changing areas, staff block, dance studio and auditorium, on a very congested site. 👏 Well done to Chris and the entire Neilcott team for their hard work in delivering another high-quality education project.

As we continue our work on the Watergate School project in the borough, this was a fantastic opportunity to support the local community by helping to create a new Wildlife Garden – a space for everyone to enjoy. Our team rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into: 🌱 Planting trees, flowers & shrubs🎨 Painting the garden shed🪴 Creating raised planters We’re proud to make a positive impact beyond our project sites and look forward to seeing this space grow and flourish!

The redevelopment of the former Mission Hall into the new home for the National Youth Theatre (NYT) integrates thoughtful design, accessibility, and inclusivity. The reimagined NYT building enhances its visibility, with a fully accessible entrance and a welcoming reception space that includes a dropped-height desk and clear signage. A perfect example of how heritage spaces can evolve to meet modern, diverse needs while maintaining their cultural significance. 🏅 🏗️ Brewers’ Hall – Worshipful company of BrewersThis project received Highly Commended status for making a significant contribution to the quality and appearance of the built environment. Brewers’ Hall, located in Aldermanbury Square, London, underwent a meticulous refurbishment and extension, blending architectural heritage with modern functionality. The transformation supports the operational needs of The Worshipful Company of Brewers while enhancing the building’s historical and civic significance. 📚 🏗️ Sidcup Storyteller London Borough of BexleyWe are incredibly proud of the Sidcup Storyteller project which has become a catalyst for community regeneration, offering a thoughtful mix of public, commercial, and residential spaces. As a cornerstone of Sidcup’s regeneration, it is more than just a building—it embodies the transformative power of architecture, improving not only the streetscape but the lives of the people it serves. 📢 ⚒️ Shipman Youth Zone – London Borough of NewhamShipman Youth Zone secured a place as Regional Finalist in the Civic Trust Awards 2025. A car free, zero-carbon, state-of-the-art facility featuring meeting rooms for workshops/committee meetings, kitchen spaces and communal areas for socialising, a multi-purpose sports hall with roof height to accommodate basketball games/indoor football, a gym, music studio, computer suite and an arts and crafts space. 📢 Thank you to all involved in making these projects a reality. STEM Workshops

News & Views sTEM Worshops Back to news & views We delivered a fantastic series of STEM Workshops for students of Warren Mead Infant & Junior School during British Science Week. This facilitated enriching experiences for an incredible 471 children! 🌻 🐝 🦉🪵🦔 From birdhouse building, plant pot decorating & Lego workshops, to bio diversity presentations, a site safety assembly and engineering challenges, our team delivered a series of engaging, educational workshops to bring the role of construction to life. ✅ Students had the chance to try on safety PPE, create new homes for wildlife, and build free standing towers – the tallest of which reached 2 metre’s high! 🏗️ 📢 At Neilcott, we facilitate workshops and experiences such as this, in the hopes that we can inspire the next generation of construction workers. It is always a pleasure to see young people thoroughly interested in the work that we do and we are so pleased to have received such fantastic feedback from the school! 🎉
