Women In Construction Week & IWD 2025

News & Views Celebrating Women In Construction Week & IWD Back to news & views 🚧 Celebrating Women in Construction Week & International Women’s Day! 2025 🚧 WIC week aims to raise awareness about the critical role women play in shaping the construction industry, while also highlighting the challenges they face and the ongoing need for inclusivity and equal opportunities. As our Sustainability and Social Value Coordinator, Faye plays a crucial role in ensuring that an organisation’s projects and operations align with sustainability goals and deliver positive impacts for communities. We’re proud to celebrate the incredible women who are driving change in our sector, including our very own Design Manager, @Charley Latimer. It is amazing to hear from Charley about the positive changes within the construction industry that have occured across the years. As a Design Manager, Charley is responsible for developing and coordinating the various requirements of detailed designs, driving best value through innovative value engineering processes & working closely with our specialist subcontractors, client, design team, statutory & end-user stakeholders. For the construction industry, #WIC week & #IWD serves as an important reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we still have to go in creating an inclusive environment where women have equal opportunities to succeed and lead. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, we recognise the need to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create opportunities for women to thrive in all areas of construction. We’re proud to spotlight our Assistant Site Manager, Libby Stubbs. Libby’s leadership on-site is a shining example of the talent and determination women bring to the construction industry every day. A special shoutout to Hattie Horlock, one of our Quantity Surveyors, who plays a key role in our projects, responsible for preparing tender and contract documents for work packages and working with the wider team to undertake cost analysis, risk and value management. WIC Week & IWD celebrates the growing number of women making an impact in the construction industry and shines a light on the valuable contributions women bring to the field, and we’re proud to recognise the work being done to create more opportunities for women in construction.
