Bayes Business School Creating a new landmark base for this globally renowned Business School within 33 Finsbury Sq CAT B Fit Out Landmark Quality Occupied Higher Education Campus SKA Gold Rating Client:City University London Contract:JCT Design & Build Value:£14.2m CAT B refurbishment and fit out works across 9 storeys, including basement and lightwell, to upgrade existing facilities and provide a new HQ for the Bayes Business School, bringing together departments and specialists from across the campus to a centralised building for all business related courses. As well as  construction of a two-storey extension and installation of a passenger lift to provide lift access and additional storage facilities to the existing school building. Daubeney Road

Daubeney Road High-quality sustainable new affordable homes, better utilising Council-owned land. CLT construction Infill development H&S interface Client:London Borough of Hackney Contract:JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractor’s Design Value:£5.5m Neilcott undertook the demolition of 25 single storey garages and construct 11 new homes within the Clapton Park Estate. The Daubeney Road development on Chowdhury Walk, provides a mix of 11 new 2 and 3 bed homes, with one fully accessible four-bed family house. 7 of the homes were reserved for social rent, with the other 4 available as an outright sale. The new houses are formed of cross laminated timber (CLT) structures on a concrete ground floor slab, with supported off strip footings and vibro compacted ground. Clad externally in brickwork, roofs are covered in a single-ply membrane. External landscape enhancements include attractive ground paving throughout, with planters in front of each house and along the northern boundary. New pedestrian and cycle routes have been created, with bike stores provided also. The scheme will provide x6 new apartment units and x2 townhouses for Surrey County Council. Livity Primary SchoolDevelopment consisting of x4 new rooms in order to increase the additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) placements. Additional refurbishment works will be delivered to other classrooms to improve storage capacity & a winter garden classroom space is proposed. Reigate Fire StationDemolition of the existing Reigate Fire Station on the Wrap Park campus for Surrey County Council and replacement with a new fire station, including x3 vehicle appliance bays, office space, kitchen, rest-room, gym and changing/locker rooms. CCS: Excellent charter school News & Views A fantastic result for our Charter School site – 44/45 Back to news & views A fantastic result for our Charter School site – 44/45 Excellent on our first Considerate Constructors Scheme site visit – well done to the Neilcott Construction Limited team! Works for the former derelict East Dulwich Hospital will provide a new home to the Charter School East Dulwich. Works include structural repairs, protection of war memorial elements and complete internal and external refurbishment. The school will be able to accommodate 1,700 pupils, including 480 sixth form places and 20 places for SEND pupils. As part of the bespoke social value we deliver on all of our projects, we have facilitated two pre-apprenticeship’s for Charter School students, who joined us for 10 weeks of work experience, one of whom has been offered a permanent position with our electrical subcontractor. The RIBA stirling prize shortlist News & Views The RIBA Stirling Prize 2024 Shortlist has landed Back to news & views The RIBA Stirling Prize 2024 Shortlist has landed & we are happy to share that our project for London Borough of Hackney, the Chowdhury Walk development at Daubeney Road, has made the list! Designed by award-winning architect AL-JAWAD PIKE, the Chowdhury Walk development is part of almost 2,000 new homes that Hackney has built since 2018, to help tackle the borough’s housing crisis – and some of the first in a new range of developments that see the repurposing of under-used land, car parks and garages to create high-quality new homes. Neilcott undertook the demolition of 25 garages and construction of 11 new homes, providing a mix of new 2 & 3 bed homes, with one fully accessible 4-bed family house. Formed of CLT structures & clad externally in brickwork, we also added external landscape enhancements, including attractive ground paving throughout, with planters in front of each house.
